Close-Up Magic For Weddings · London & The South East
Slick sleight-of-hand, jaw-on-the-floor card magic and just enough light-fingered banter to turn your drinks reception into the bit everyone's still talking about at 2am. Diamond geezer. Sound as a pound. Cheeky, crafty, and ridiculously good with a deck of cards.

See Him Work A Room
One minute of Al in action tells you more than this whole page. Have a watch.
The Plan
No stage, no smoke machine, no faff. Just book him in and let him loose.
Drop your details below and Al (or his very organised diary) will be in touch within 24 hours to talk timings, guest numbers and your big day.
Drinks reception, wedding breakfast or evening do — he moves table to table (or guest to guest) with close-up magic that happens right in their hands.
Phones full of videos, the best man's got new material, and your nan's telling everyone she met a wrong'un. Job done.
Who Is This Geezer?
Alright. I'm Al — some people call me Magic-Al, some people call me "oi, where's my watch gone." Either works.
I've been doing close-up magic at weddings for over a decade — cards, coins, rings, the lot — and in that time I've picked more pockets, blown more minds, and dodged more mothers-in-law than any man rightly should.
I'm not a bloke in a top hat shouting "abracadabra" from a stage you can't see properly. I'm the fella leaning on the bar with your nan, showing her a trick that'll have her "having a giraffe" (that's "a laugh", for anyone who's not local) — then five minutes later I've got the groom's watch and nobody's noticed a thing.
Book me and you get a proper geezer at your wedding: someone who works a room like he's known your guests for years, does magic that actually holds up under close inspection, and leaves everyone's phones full of videos and their pockets (temporarily) a bit lighter.
Everything comes back. Eventually. Probably.
— Al

"He had my father-in-law's watch off him within about four minutes of meeting him. Everyone was crying with laughter. Best decision we made for the whole day."
"We were worried close-up magic would feel a bit naff but he was brilliant — proper funny, kept it moving, and our older guests loved him just as much as the young ones."
"Genuinely one of the best hires of the whole wedding. He worked the entire drinks reception and nobody wanted him to stop. Booked him purely off a mate's recommendation and he did not disappoint."
"My nan is still talking about him six months later. She's convinced he's 'a wrong'un' in the nicest possible way. Ten out of ten, would absolutely have him back."
"Booked him for the evening do as our guests arrived and it was the perfect ice-breaker. Professional, on time, brilliant with a mixed crowd of ages."
"Sharp, quick, and genuinely mind-bending close-up. He got my ring off my finger and back on without me clocking it once. Still don't know how."

Fair Questions
Depends on your date, guest numbers, and how long you want Al causing trouble for. Fill in the form below and you'll get a proper quote back within 24 hours — no hidden fees, no nonsense.
No chance. It's all sleight of hand and showmanship — everything's given back with a wink, usually before the trick's even finished. Your guests' valuables (and dignity) are completely safe. The dignity bit's not guaranteed.
Cards, coins, rings, mentalism, and the odd bit of memory-reading that'll properly spook your nan. All up close, all happening in your guests' own hands — no big stage, no smoke machine, no rabbits.
Based in London, and happily travels across the South East. Give him your postcode and he'll tell you straight away if it's a yes (it's almost always a yes).
Popular Saturdays go quickly — most couples lock Al in 6–12 months out. If your date's closer than that, ask anyway. You might get lucky.
Fully insured, DBS checked, and generally on his best behaviour when there's a vicar in the room.
Never met one yet. Give him five minutes and even your most "I don't really get magic" uncle will be checking his own pockets.
